
Gandhinagar : A major political upheaval is being witnessed in Gujarat ahead of the 2027 assembly elections. The BJP government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced the expansion of the state cabinet. As many as six ministers repeated in the new cabinet. A total of 26 ministers have been announced in this expansion. Amidst the discussion on the “no-repeat” theory in the state, a total of 7 ministers, including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, have been repeated in the new cabinet, showing that the party has given importance to experience and efficiency.

The new cabinet comprises the CM along with 7 Patidars, 8 OBCs, 3 SCs, and 4 STs. 3 women ministers will also take oath. Repeated ministers were personally informed by the Chief Minister via phone, assuring them of support for the oath-taking. New ministers were informed by Gujarat BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
