‘Very Sad End’: President Trump Warns Hamas, Says It Has ‘three or Four Days’ to Accept Gaza Peace Plan

US President Donald Trump said Hamas has only a few days to decide whether to accept a Gaza peace plan he unveiled alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, framing the proposal as the closest step yet toward ending the conflict. He told reporters that “all” Arab and Muslim countries, as well as Israel, were on board, and warned of a “very sad end” if Hamas refused to agree.

Trump set a short deadline, saying the administration would “do about three or four days” before reassessing, while insisting the agreement could move swiftly if Hamas consented. He presented the initiative as a unified push backed by regional partners, with the remaining hurdle being Hamas’s response.

According to Trump, the plan accepted by Netanyahu is a 20-point framework that requires Hamas to free all hostages, disarm, and forgo any role in governing Gaza, in exchange for international support to stabilize and rebuild the territory. He described the moment as the closest the sides have come to a comprehensive resolution.

Despite Trump’s confidence, the deal cannot proceed without Hamas’s approval, and several provisions especially disarmament and the group’s exclusion from governance have previously been rejected by Hamas. The timeline and implementation details remain contingent on the group’s formal response.
