Delhi Boys Rescued in Nashik After Quest to Meet Salman Khan

Three young boys from Delhi, aged 9 to 13, who vanished from their homes on July 25, 2025, in pursuit of meeting Bollywood icon Salman Khan, were safely located at a Nashik railway station in Maharashtra on July 29, 2025, according to police reports. The trio, all students at a school in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area, had been lured by an online acquaintance named Wahid from Jalna, Maharashtra, whom they met through a gaming platform. Wahid claimed he had previously met Salman Khan and could arrange a meeting with the actor.
Without informing their families, the boys left home to travel to Jalna, intending to proceed to Mumbai to meet the star. A handwritten note left at one of the boys’ homes revealed their plan to meet Wahid, prompting a swift response from the Delhi Police, who coordinated with the Railway Police and Maharashtra Police. CCTV footage showed the boys near Ajmeri Gate, suggesting they had boarded a train at New Delhi Railway Station, possibly the Sachkhand Express heading to Maharashtra.
A search at Wahid’s residence in Jalna yielded no results, but a brief activation of one of the boys’ phones allowed authorities to trace their location to Nashik. The boys, who had altered their plans and disembarked in Nashik after Wahid withdrew from the arrangement upon learning of the police search, were found unharmed. They were taken into police custody and arrangements were made to reunite them with their families in Delhi.
The incident underscores the influence of celebrity culture on young fans and the risks associated with online interactions, as reported by PTI. The collaborative efforts of multiple police forces ensured the safe recovery of the minors after a four-day search.
