Tragic Fall Claims Life of Mumbai Man on 18th Floor

In a heartbreaking incident in Mumbai, a 52-year-old man lost his life after falling from the 18th floor of the Matoshree Sadan building in Wadala on Sunday, according to an official. The man, who had been battling dysentery, fell while attempting to relieve himself near a shaft by the lift, as the bathroom in his apartment was occupied.
The resident, who lived with his sister on the 18th floor, was reportedly unemployed. An official from the RAK Marg police station explained that the man, overwhelmed by the urgency of his condition, rushed out of his apartment and sat on the edge of a service shaft. Tragically, he lost his balance and plummeted into a pit on the ground floor.

Local residents alerted the authorities, prompting a swift response from police and fire brigade personnel, who retrieved the man from the pit. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The police have registered the case as an accidental death and are continuing their investigation, with no suspicion of foul play reported.
