Ahmedabad: Vadodara has been on edge following a series of bomb threats targeting schools in recent days. Tensions escalated on Saturday, July 5th, when the Lords Revival Hotel received an email threatening to blow up the building with explosives.
Hotel management immediately alerted Sayajiganj Police about the threat. Upon notification, police units including bomb squads and K-9 teams rushed to the scene. All hotel guests were swiftly evacuated to safety, and a comprehensive sweep of all 48 rooms was conducted. No suspicious items were found, allowing authorities to breathe a sigh of relief.
This incident follows four separate bomb threats emailed to Vadodara schools over the past two weeks. Affected institutions include Samarpan (Sama area), Gujarat Refinery School, Signus International School (Mota Nath Road), and D.R. Amin School (Diwalipura). Police and bomb disposal units responded promptly to each threat.
Notably, on Friday, July 4th, an anonymous email claimed an RDX explosive had been planted at Harni’s RDX School and would detonate “at any time.” The school was evacuated, children were sent home, and searches yielded nothing. These repeated threats have sparked panic among parents and school administrations.
Despite rigorous investigations, Vadodara Police have yet to identify the source of the threatening emails. The city remains in a heightened state of alert as threats shift from schools to public hospitality venues.
