Tragic Accident In Vadodara: Husband And Wife Killed After Their Activa Hit By Truck

Vadodara: A tragic road accident on the national highway near Vadodara has claimed the lives of a husband and wife, who were killed instantly when their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck on the Vaghodiya Bridge.
The victims have been identified as 36-year-old Lalitbhai Bhagle and his 34-year-old wife Rajuda Bhagle, residents of Aditya Orbit on Waghodiya Road. Lalitbhai, an employee at L&T, was on his way to drop his wife, a school teacher, to work early Monday morning when the fatal crash occurred around 6:00 AM.
According to police, the couple was riding their Activa scooter when an Eicher truck truck them with such force that both sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The truck driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled.
The Kapurai Police have begun postmortem procedures and launched a swift investigation. Within hours of the incident, authorities were able to apprehend the suspected driver.

The tragedy has devastated the Bhagle family, leaving behind two young children, six-month-old baby and an eight-year-old boy. The children, now orphaned, are reportedly in the care of their elderly grandparents.
In light of this heartbreaking incident, community members and relatives have called on authorities to take stricter action against reckless driving and enforce stronger safety measures on highways to prevent such fatal accidents in the future.
