
Ahmedabad : Air India flight AI171 from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after the take-off on 12th June. the passengers 241 out of 242 on board died along with 40 people on the ground. While, the first black box was recovered , the search for the second black box (Cockpit Voice Recorder) was still on. Now, the CVR has also been recovered from the site.
The CVR which is Cockpit Voice recorder along with the earlier recovered Flight Data Recorder will help to identify the possible reason behind the deadly crash. The CVR captures all audio inside the aircraft, including the conversations of the pilot, radio transmissions , warning alarms, and other things.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau and Airports Authority of India stated in a official release that ” Officials confirmed to Dr Mishra (Personal secretary to PM Narendra Modi) that the flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) have been located and secured.” Mishra, in a statement said, “I visited the crash site, the hostel, the hospital and the FSL… I also held a review meeting. The state agencies, the government of India agencies and others have responded very timely and effectively. I met some of the relatives of those who, unfortunately, died and were injured.”
